When to Start Planning for Retirement

Start planning now! At 18 or even 25, you might feel too young to think about retirement, but the best way to ensure a secure and comfortable retirement is to plan early. This might mean tucking away $20 a month from your summer job, or contributing aggressively to an RRSP fund the moment you get your first salaried position. Never rely on government pensions or family inheritances. How and when you hope to retire should shape when and how you begin planning for it.
